AI-MARS · AI Enablement Labs · Yorkshire, UK
The barriers to using AI at work are hard to name. AI-MARS™ names them, team by team.
An 18-minute questionnaire for every member of staff shows what the barriers look like in each business area, and which of our training modules overcomes each of them. AI-MARS is built from published scales with established reliability, mapped to a published model of behavior at work, and reviewed by experts in measurement and organizational psychology.
Use of AI at work has run ahead of the governance and the training around it.
of US workers use AI tools at work without knowing whether it is allowed.
KPMG and University of Melbourne, Trust in AI, 1,019 US respondents, 2025of US workers had no AI-related training in the previous twelve months.
Pew Research Center, 5,273 workers, surveyed 2024of US employees say their organization has communicated a clear plan for using AI.
Gallup, May 2026Whether a person uses AI well depends on four conditions. AI-MARS scores each one, for each team.
Whether staff expect the tools to help, see colleagues using them, and trust what comes out.
Whether staff can get a usable result, can tell a wrong answer from a right one, and keep learning.
Whether staff know what is permitted, on which tasks, and who is accountable for AI-assisted work.
Whether staff have the licenses, the time, a sponsor, and a safe way to say what went wrong.
Surveys that use total scores hide extreme scores in the average. We provide 20 specific scores, built from our 80-item question bank, and offer training for any score that falls below our evidence-based standard.

What kind of AI reviewer are you?
Whether AI-assisted work can be trusted depends on how well you know the subject and how well you know the ways AI fails.
A sample of what a sub-condition of AI-MARS™ can show. The full measure has its own items.
Your result
Left to right: knowledge of how AI fails, low to high. Bottom to top: knowledge of the subject, low to high.
The judging of AI output is a sub-condition of AI-MARS™, measured for every member of staff and reported for each team. Register your interest and a link to buy will come by email on launch day.

An illustrative organization of 60 people. Each team's lowest condition is its barrier, and the lowest part of that condition names its training module. Each of the twenty modules takes about 45 minutes: content, activities, a test and a certificate. Training providers that provide a single overarching course for the entire organization fail to address the specific needs of each team.
Your organization moves from barriers it cannot name to a profile of each team, a training module for each barrier, and the evidence to stay on top of the technology.
Each area scored on the four conditions, the barrier in each marked in red, and its five parts beneath. Results by business area, never by person.
Twenty modules, one for each barrier AI-MARS can find. Each takes about 45 minutes: content, activities, a test and a certificate. A team takes only the modules its profile identifies.
How your organization compares with every other one measured, a monthly report on the state of AI at work, and a quarterly review of the research.
A year later, the same questionnaire measures the change in each business area and shows which barriers remain.

Questions organizations ask before they buy.
What is AI-MARS?
AI-MARS is an 18-minute questionnaire for every member of staff that scores each business area on four conditions for using AI at work (motivation, ability, role perceptions and situational support) and names the condition that limits each team. Training modules follow from the profile, one for each low sub-condition, and a second census a year later measures the change.
What does a census cost?
Your census is $1,250 for an organization of up to 25 staff, then $50 a person to 500 staff, $32 a person beyond 500, $20 beyond 2,000 and $13 beyond 5,000. Every member of staff is included and prices exclude sales tax. Administrator accounts cost nothing.
Is there an annual plan?
Yes. The annual plan is your census price plus 45 percent a year. It includes one census a year for all your staff, the twenty online training modules for all your staff, two consultations with an expert, a monthly report on the state of AI at work and a quarterly review of the research. The report carries no vendor advertising.
How long does it take?
Each person answers in about 18 minutes on any device, from one link, with no employee account. Your profile arrives within about two weeks of the census closing.
Who sees the answers?
Nobody sees an individual's answers. Each person names their business area and no other identifier is collected. Results are reported by business area, and an area with fewer than five responses is not shown.
What happens after the profile?
Each team takes only the training modules its profile names, one module for each sub-condition below the target. Each module takes about 45 minutes, with content, activities, a test and a certificate. Training and Development follows from January 2027.
When does AI-MARS launch?
The launch date will be announced on this page. Register your interest and a link to buy or subscribe will come by email on launch day.
Can a training provider or consultant work with you?
Yes. Trainers and consultants who introduce an organization receive a share of what the organization pays in the two years after its first census, and can be accredited to deliver the packages. Choose "Training provider or consultant" in the form and the partner terms will be sent with the launch-day email.
